About EBG |
Equatorial Business Group (EBG) is a Private Limited Company established in April 1993, as per the commercial Laws of Ethiopia. EBG’s business started with the import and distribution of electrical and electronic goods and services with an initial share capital of about Birr 5 Million.
EBG to date is engaged in four business lines that have strategic significance to national development. The four business lines are automotive Engineering, Energy, Pharmaceuticals & Medical Supplies including Veterinary and Telecommunication & IT. It operates with a capital currently standing at Birr 60,000,000 (USD 6.86 Million) and an annual sales turnover of an average Birr 200 Million (USD 22.5 Million).
EBG has a strong and dedicated workforce of well over 300 highly skilled professionals and semi-professionals to guarantee the provision of adequate sales and after-sales services focusing on customers’ requirements.
EBG is located some 10 Kms south of Center Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, on Addis - Debrezeit Road, in Kalitti/Akaki Subcity. It has branch offices in Awassa, Bahir Dar, Dire Dawa, Jimma and Nazareth cities, strategically located in different parts of Ethiopia. The Company is engaged in the following business sectors with adequate supply of spare parts and after-sales backup.
Automotive Engineering
This is a Sector to provide you with heavy and light duty Volvo trucks, busses, construction machineries and equipment. Mazda pickups, Cherry automobiles, Jimbei minibuses and Foton tractors are recent additions to our range of products we import distribute.
Energy
This is a Sector to provide you with the packages of solutions for your power/energy problems. Design, installation, testing and commissioning services and after-sales support are provided for OTIS elevators & escalators, Cummins power generators, GE Electrical Materials, power cables, transformers and compact substation and lightening arrestors.
This sector also provides rural focused technology packages of power and renewable energy sources. These include Solar energy based water heaters, vaccine refrigerators, pumping systems, lanterns, power kits and different capacity Solar power generators and also Hand pumps, diesel powered surface and submersible pumps of various capacity.
Pharmaceuticals & Medical Supplies
This Sector works with certified multinational companies to import and distribute Hi-tech Medical Equipment, Pharmacueticals and medical supplies including Veterinary and a variety of Chemical Reagents, Test-kits, X-ray items of all ranges and related agricultural inputs.
Telecommunication & IT
Keeping up with advances in modern telecom technologies is in EBG’s recent but growing interest. A variety of telecom and security systems and equipment of latest technologies are imported for distribution. Products include PABXs and Key Telephone Systems (KTSs) and Apparatus, Closed Circuit TV (CCTV), Access Controls, Fire and Security Alarms and Master Antenna TVs (MATV). We have skilled and dedicated staff to care for your design and installation of In-door and Out-door cables & Distribution.
